Sip n' Flip Classes
Come experience the joy of furniture refinishing at our monthly Sip & Flip sessions! You’ll be welcomed into our workshop, where our team will guide you step-by-step through the process of prepping, painting, and finishing a piece of furniture you bring from home.
This class is all about learning the fundamentals while having fun in a relaxed, creative environment. Bring your favorite drink, a snack, and a piece you’d love to transform—we’ll provide the rest!
What To Bring
-
Your own furniture piece – We recommend bringing a smaller item (like a nightstand, side table, or accent piece) so you can maximize your time in the workshop.
-
For larger items (such as dressers), we suggest bringing only the drawers, as those are usually the easiest parts to prep in the class timeframe.
-
Your own mask – Since the class involves sanding and prep work, please bring a mask or respirator. We do not provide masks for participants.
-
Comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little dusty or paint-splattered.
What We'll Cover
Our 1 hour 30 minute session focuses primarily on prep work, which is the most important (and time-consuming) part of refinishing furniture. You may not fully complete your project during class, but you’ll leave with:

-
Knowledge of all the steps required to finish your piece at home.
-
Hands-on experience with proper sanding, priming, and painting techniques.
-
A clear plan for completing your furniture to a high-quality finish.
Materials Provided
We’ll supply the workshop materials you’ll need during class, including sanding discs, primer, brushes/rollers, and any tools necessary to get the job done. We invite you to take notes of the materials you will need to finish your project at home.
Additional supplies are available for purchase in our store, including:
-
Fusion Mineral Paint & Stains
-
High-quality brushes & rollers
-
Finishing sanding pads
Design Decisions
To get the most out of your workshop experience, please come with a clear vision for your piece. Consider the following ahead of time:
-
Will your top be painted or stained (if stainable)?
-
Are you keeping the original hardware or changing it out? (This determines whether we’ll need to fill and drill new hardware holes.)

Knowing these details before class will allow us to guide you more efficiently and help you make the most progress on your project.
